Both barbed wire and packing tape are produced in rolls, their purpose being to separate, protect, or contain. A visual rooted in images of rebellion, resilience, and protection - and seen everywhere from tattoos to fashion to art - barbed wire sits in the spaces of both function and symbolism. This combination of objects draws on that tension between utility and expression, also reimagining an industrial tape gun as something sculptural and deliberate. Finished in blackout form and paired with barbed wire-print packing tape, it reframes the aesthetics of enforced boundaries through a minimal, refined lens - everything then housed within an acrylic case designed to be displayed.
